OBITUARY: paper unknown; John B. Parkinson, 48, native of Logan and for many
years a resident of Utah, died Wednesday night at his home in Phoenix, AZ, of
a heart attack, according to word received by relatives in SLC. Funeral
services will be conducted Monday in Phoenix. Mr. Parkinson, a son of the
late Dr. William B. and Edith Benson Parkinson, was born in Logan on 11 Jul
1890. He attended Utah State Agricultural college and was a lieutenant in
the US army during the World War. For several years he had been engaged in
business at Phoenix, and in Houston, Texas. Surviving are his widow; Mrs.
Hazel H. Parkinson; a son, Tom Parkinson, 11, both brothers, Dr. Fred B.
Parkinson of Cedar City, Dr. Wallace B. Parkinson of Porterville, CA, and
Don B. Parkinson of Houston, TX; three sisters, Mrs. W.R. Worley of SLC, Mrs.
B.R. Parkinson of Franklin, ID, and Mrs. Seth T. Shaw of Provo.
